Our lives with animals.

Some animals share our homes. Others share our neighborhoods. Some we care for, some we admire from a distance, and some we encounter so often they become familiar parts of our existence.

From the dog waiting patiently for its person, the pigeons navigating a busy New York sidewalk, or the infamous bodega cat, animals have a way of drawing our attention, disrupting our routines, and reminding us that we're not the only ones making a life in this world.

I'm drawn to the character of animals, the ways they inhabit their surroundings, and the connections we form with them. Sometimes those connections are intimate and deeply personal. Other times, they're quieter, built on familiarity, curiosity, or simply taking the time to notice.

Pet Project is my ongoing exploration of the animals we love, the animals we live alongside, and the place they hold in our lives.
