capturing culture and current events: rally for times square casino

While working in Times Square, I came across a rally surrounding the proposed Times Square casino and decided to document the scene. The crowds, signs, speakers, Broadway backdrop, and constant movement at the “crossroads of America” made it a natural fit for a more documentary approach to event photography.

I’m interested in photographing events as they actually unfold, with an emphasis on people, place, atmosphere, and the moments that tell the larger story. This kind of reportage-style event photography can be a strong fit for organizations, brands, cultural institutions, and public events that need images with a sense of context and authenticity.
