Bungalow Capital @ Neuehouse

After a long break from in-person gatherings, Bungalow Capital brought its partners together at NeueHouse Madison Square in Manhattan for an intimate evening of presentations, conversation, and networking.

With its deep green walls, rich textures, and low, atmospheric lighting, the space created a distinctive setting for the gathering of approximately 50 venture capital professionals. The challenge was capturing the energy and personality of the event without flash, which was not permitted during the keynote and panel discussions.

Working entirely with available light and the glow of the presentation screens, I photographed the event with a more editorial approach, getting close to the speakers and guests and using the character of the space as part of the story. The smaller setting allowed for a level of intimacy and visual connection that can be difficult to achieve in a traditional corporate event.

The result is event photography that feels less like documentation and more like a portrait of the people, place, and experience.
